Corner and chaise sofas

A corner sofa has two runs of seats that meet at an angle, usually with a corner piece. A sofa with a chaise has a long section, open on one side, where you can put your feet up. A corner sofa seats more people, while a chaise gives you more room to relax. Some models combine both in U-shaped layouts.

It depends on the room: think about where the TV, windows and doors are, and which side you enter from. Be careful with left and right, because manufacturers don't all define them the same way: some look at the sofa from the front, others from a seated position.
